Arax Foto is a camera company in Kiev, Ukraine. It has been owned by Gevorg Vartanyan since 2003. Prior to 2003 Arax sold their production only in the former Soviet Union. ARAX upgrades and repairs Kiev Arsenal medium format cameras, lenses and accessories produced in the Kiev Arsenal factory, including the Kiev-6C, Kiev-60, Kiev-88, Kiev-88CM, Salyut, Salyut-C, Zenit-80 cameras. A group of technicians from the Arsenal factory repairs camera parts and lenses for the company, and produce variations and upgrades of the original cameras. These lenses are for both the medium format Pentacon Six mount as well as 35 mm SLR cameras e.g. Canon, Nikon, Minolta, Pentax, Sony. Arax also develop and produce tilt and shift adapters allowing the use of Pentacon Six mount lenses on 35 mm digital or analog cameras. The tilt adaptor allows up to 8 degrees of tilt, while the shift adaptor can shift up to 10 mm.
